How reviews work on HAYObiz

Reviews help people choose a business with confidence. These rules keep them honest, and they apply to everyone, including businesses that pay for HAYObiz plans.

Who can review

Anyone with a HAYObiz account who has been a customer can write one review per business, and can update it later. Reviews from customers who booked through HAYObiz show a “Verified booking” badge. People who own, work for or are connected to a business can’t review it or its competitors.

We ask every customer

After every appointment booked through HAYObiz we ask the customer for a review. We never ask only happy customers, and businesses can’t choose who is asked.

Incentives must be disclosed

Businesses must not offer anything in return for a review that depends on it being positive or negative. If you received anything for writing a review, such as a discount or gift, you must say so, and we show it with your review.

Nothing is hidden for being negative

We don’t remove, hide or reorder reviews because of their rating. Paying for HAYObiz never changes reviews or ratings. Businesses can reply publicly to any review.

Fake reviews are banned

Fake reviews, reviews written by AI to mislead, bought reviews and reviews from people who weren’t customers are not allowed. We check new reviews for warning signs, such as many reviews in a short time or copied text, and hold suspicious ones for a moderator.

Reporting and appeals

Anyone can report a review they believe breaks these rules. Reported reviews stay up while a moderator looks into it. If we remove a review, we tell the reviewer why, and they can appeal. We assess the risk of fake reviews regularly and update these rules when needed.
